About us

Building the infrastructure layer for global payments

Moja Switch Ltd is a Canada-incorporated fintech infrastructure company. We connect fragmented financial ecosystems through a unified orchestration and settlement platform.

Our story

Payment infrastructure should not be the barrier to innovation

Moja Switch was founded on a simple idea: payment infrastructure should not be the barrier to innovation.

Across Africa and global diaspora corridors, financial institutions, fintech companies, remittance providers, and payment service providers face a common challenge—building and maintaining the complex infrastructure required to move money securely, efficiently, and compliantly across borders.

After decades of combined experience in fintech, payments, mobile money, international development, and large-scale digital platforms, we recognized a growing need for a modern payment orchestration layer that could connect fragmented financial ecosystems through a single, scalable platform.

That vision became Moja Switch.

Moja Switch is building next-generation payment infrastructure that enables organizations to launch, manage, and scale cross-border payment services without the complexity of integrating multiple providers, settlement networks, compliance systems, and payout channels independently.

Our platform is designed to connect banks, payment service providers, remittance companies, fintechs, mobile money operators, and emerging digital asset networks through a unified orchestration and settlement layer.

Starting with North America-to-Africa payment corridors, our mission is to create the infrastructure that powers faster, more transparent, and more affordable movement of money across borders.

We believe the future of payments is interoperable, programmable, and globally connected.

Timona Dhidha Jarha

Founder & CEO

Timona Dhidha Jarha

Timona Dhidha Jarha is a fintech entrepreneur and payments strategist with over 20 years of experience across North America and East Africa. He is Founder & CEO of Moja Switch and Founder & CEO of Bongo Pesa — companies focused on modernizing cross-border payments and financial infrastructure connecting global diaspora communities with African markets.

Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, Timona served as Director of Operations for a USD $40 million public-private malaria prevention initiative in Tanzania, leading nationwide operations and building a 7,000-retailer distribution network that powered one of Africa's first large-scale eVoucher platforms.

Timona's entrepreneurial journey began in 2009 with Shaka Mobile, an early MVNO serving the African diaspora through affordable communications and cross-border mobile money. He later founded Skool Pesa, a digital platform for school fee payments and institutional financial management. Today, through Bongo Pesa and Moja Switch, he is building the next generation of payment infrastructure to make cross-border money movement faster, simpler, and more accessible.

Co-Founder & CTO

Yannick Yeboue

Yannick Yeboue is Co-Founder & CTO of Moja Switch, where he leads the architecture behind the regulated payment infrastructure that banks, fintechs, and remittance companies integrate against to move money between North America and Africa. He brings more than 15 years building payments, commerce, and large-scale digital infrastructure across North America.

Previously a senior engineer at Block (formerly Square), Yannick spent his career designing and operating the distributed, financial-grade systems that must stay reliable, secure, and available at scale. That experience shapes Moja Switch's foundational belief: moving money must be correct, auditable, and reliable before it is anything else.

At Moja Switch he owns the core switch end to end — from the ledger that serves as the single source of truth for every transaction, to the payment engine that recovers safely when a partner or rail fails mid-flight, to the compliance controls built to meet FINTRAC and Bank of Canada standards — alongside the developer-first API and sandbox that let partners integrate a full cross-border corridor in days rather than months. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he holds an Executive MBA and a B.S. in Computer Engineering.

At Moja Switch, we are not just building another payment platform. We are building the infrastructure layer that will power the future of global payments.
